CCE maintains a staff of skilled architects, engineers, project managers and construction professionals with extensive experience in the design and planning of highly specialized structures including remote military bases, private and government office facilities, fixed and rotary wing aviation facilities, force protection systems, and the utilities and services required for complete operation of these facilities.

Remote Military Bases
CCE designs and constructs military installations based on careful consideration of functionality, security, sustainability, maintainability, aesthetics, and cost-effectiveness in addition to specific contract requirements to ensure long-term performance. Architectural Services: CCE's proven record of excellent worldwide performance of fast-track turnkey design-build projects is a testament to the capabilities of the company's architect-engineering team. Strictly adhering to the principles of form, function and quality, CCE projects are designed to meet or exceed project requirements while also providing long-term durability in an aesthetically pleasing and cost-effective package.
Interior Design: CCE carefully designs interior spaces to support the intended functions and the specific needs of the facilities we build. Every detail is considered from lighting and color scheme to the functionality and durability of furniture, wall finishes and flooring. CCE's experience with interior design includes a wide variety of space types from workshops and barracks to senior-level dormitories, offices, classrooms, and dining facilities.
Landscape Design: Landscape designs for all CCE projects are created with maintainability and sustainability in mind. Based on the project's location, uses and aesthetic aims, CCE works with the customer to beautify the project site within budget and in keeping with local environmental factors. Soil conditions, local growth patterns, native plants and trees, cost of maintenance, and other factors are taken into consideration.
Fire Protection: CCE designs and installs fire protection systems to meet specific user requirements. Past systems installed by CCE have ranged from basic installations including smoke detectors, alarm boards, and signage to elaborate and sophisticated overhead foam-water suppression and sprinkler systems designed to protect expensive aviation assets such as aircraft and testing equipment.
Military Runway Civil Engineering: CCE design-build projects are developed with the help of our team of civil engineers to ensure the proper design and construction of all civil works such as service roads, sewage and storm drainage collection and pipeline systems, and earthworks associated with building site preparation. CCE engineers utilize site survey analyses and state-of-the art drafting technologies to ensure the quality of all civil works.
Geotechnical Engineering: CCE carefully analyzes site conditions prior to the construction of each project. Past projects have included challenging site topography conditions such as submersed soft clays and organic material deep in the sub-grade. Through specialized earthworks and the utilization of geotextile technologies, CCE prepares every project site to optimize the quality of the final construction.
Structural Engineering: CCE's structural engineering team conducts detailed foundation and structural 3-D modeling studies of all proposed project designs to predict the impacts of natural forces such as wind and earthquakes as well as dead and live loads. All designs are in accordance with IBC, UBC, AISC, ACI 318, ASTM, and other widely accepted standards with careful analysis of drawings and computer models before designs are approved.
Mechanical Engineering: Virtually every CCE project includes mechanical design components. Our aircraft facilities have included hangar door operating systems, hangars equipped with overhead cranes, fuel storage and distribution systems, and numerous filtration and pumping systems. CCE's engineers have also designed highly intricate structures such as a custom radar tower for the U.S. Military and includijn a mechanical tower crane.
Electrical Engineering: CCE engineers utilize their extensive experience and sophisticated computer engineering technologies to design electrical systems for single buildings and entire military compounds. CCE's electrical engineers review load calculations, electrical panel schedules, material requirements and specifications, and the behavior properties of all components to create 3-D models for analysis and review before final design approval.
Blast/Force Protection: In coordination with the customer and in-country security professionals, CCE carefully reviews possible threats to new facilities in the design phase of construction. Facilities installed in high risk locations may require secure weapons and ammunitions storage facilities, safe haven bunkers or other protective measures meeting UBC and IBC requirements for blast protection, gases protection, and forced entry protection.
Technical and Physical Security: CCE has gained extensive experience with projects in Kuwait, Palestinian Territories, Somalia, Colombia and Rwanda, all requiring absolute attention to security of the project site and staff as well as the long-term security of the completed facilities. CCE security systems have included anti-ram and ballistic-resistant walls, wedge barriers, guard towers, perimeter walls, closed-circuit television (CCTV), and FEBR windows and doors.
Telecommunications: CCE designs and installs telecommunication systems to meet the user's immediate needs with sufficient flexibility to accommodate growth and future needs. When possible, CCE designs fully integrated systems combining voice and data streams. These systems often include integrated VSAT, CAT 6, IP phone, and standard voice communication components to provide state-of-the-art communication capabilities.
  Energy Conservation & Design: Maximum energy efficiency is always an important consideration in CCE design-build projects, both during the design phase and throughout construction. Great care is taken in the selection of insulation materials, roofing structures, building positioning, and window glass to promote energy efficiency. Energy generating systems are selected to ensure the long-term efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the facility and its systems.
Water Storage & Treatment Systems: CCE has constructed numerous compounds requiring potable and sewage water storage and treatment systems for absolute self-sustainability. CCE water systems are designed to meet the needs of the project as well as applicable local regulations. Past systems have included water towers, sewage and gray water drainage and treatment, water runoff collection and treatment, and well water pumping and distribution.
Fuel Systems: With extensive experience in aviation logistics and base construction, CCE is well equipped to provide a wide variety of fuel system types for military compounds and aviation programs. These systems are designed according to project needs, and they may include storage, production, and distribution systems with minimal to elaborate construction designs to maintain appropriate safety and security of the facilities.
Maintainability: CCE's emphasis on maintainability during the design phase of design-build projects ensures the use of the best construction materials. Careful research and planning goes into the selection of materials to ensure a sustained operation under specific environmental and use conditions as well as maintainability through easy access to spare and repair parts, and minimal maintenance costs and requirements.
Environmental Design & Sustainability: CCE carefully designs and constructs all of its projects to meet or exceed U.S. and local environmental requirements regarding issues such as the recovery and treatment of HVAC refrigerant, water and sewage treatment and storage systems, storage and disposal of hazardous materials, and final disposition of demolition materials. Great care is taken to control pollution of the air, water, soil, and soundscape with additional emphasis in achieving LEED standards.
Environmental Assessment: Prior to the start of any project, CCE dispatches an environmental specialist to assess the project site and prepare an Environmental Impact Report. A final site survey is conducted after construction to ensure that the construction had no detrimental effect on the environment of the property. Through these assessment measures, CCE ensures that all applicable environmental guidelines are met by its crew and subcontractors.

Project Management

CCE has the corporate organization and project management structure to effectively manage multiple concurrent fast-track turnkey design-build and bid-build projects. CCE gives Project Managers maximum authority for the performance of all Project requirements while also providing a stable and reliable support network of senior-level decision makers. Our approach provides sufficient, but not redundant, lines of supervision and control.

Studies & Analysis

Studies and Analysis is a service introduced to support the design-build construction contracts wherein the client and prime contractor work together to retrieve accurate information on requirements and pricing based on the end user's stated need in alignment with its specific operative objectives. This is achieved by the integration of technical and operation assessments with documented site investigation. This process has been successfully implemented to define the concept, scope and requirements, when the project information is inconsistent (limited, outdated or ambiguous) and setting a clear direction before a major contract is awarded.
